Four artists and five cultural organizations received a total of $3 million in grants to support Philadelphia's art and culture recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Forman Art Initiative and the Philadelphia Foundation announced their five awards Nine of the winners-community artists’ annual funding program works of art.
One of the winners, artist José Ortiz-Pagán, has worked as a printmaker, sculptor, painter and performance artist, hoping to pass his works of art and performances to promote community change and considers himself a "culture organizer."
